Temporary Permit

The temporary permits enable a goods carriage to ply in a State other than its home State. Thus a vehicle registered in Pondicherry and permit issued in Pondicherry desiring to enter other state may obtain a temporary permit in Pondicherry, to ply in other state for a maximum period of 30 days. The fees to be paid in Rs.100/- and tax has to be paid. The temporary permit can be obtained at the department. Similarly vehicle coming from other states can get Temporary permit at chekpost at Gorimedu, Puducherry service is allowed at once.
